Cooper and Verna are back (Flash Fiction-Cooper’s Dilemma) and the rivalry continues. The two siblings were on the back patio in the midst of an arm wrestling match, but it wasn’t really a fair match since Verna’s arms were shapely and muscular while Cooper’s arms looked like wispy little twigs in comparison.
When their Aunt Mabel showed up for a visit Cooper’s humiliation worsened.
Mabel was a buxom, solidly built middle aged woman. When she spotted Cooper she scooped him up and carried him around the yard. Even though he was a young man of nineteen she carried him about, squeezing him between her folded arms as if he was a little kid.
