Dede was passed by for a promotion to the position that she’d always wanted. She considered this to be doubly bad. First and most important, of course, was that she failed to get the job. But secondly the company had the audacity to give the position to that little pipsqueak, Walter.
Short of strangling the dude there wasn’t much she could do, except maybe try to get him fired.
